The exceptionally High-Resolution VR Display That LG and Google Are Presenting

At the Display week 2018 trade show in May, LG together with Google is planning to introduce an Oled headset display of 18-megapixel 4.3-inch supported by 1443 ppi and a 120 Hz strong refresh rate.
"Those specs make the forthcoming headset better than most of what’s on the market. Screens like the new HTC Vive Pro and Oculus Rift only boast total resolutions of 2880 x 1600 and 2160 x 1200, respectively.
While the advanced program doesn’t reveal the panel’s resolution, we can speculate based on the pixel density and size that the screen’s resolution could be within the 5500 x 3000 range.
The next step for virtual reality could be headsets with pixel-dense displays, which could solve problems like when the boundaries between pixels are visible or when diagonal lines look rough and sharp. It’s still unclear if Google and LG will be able to deliver such an extremely high-resolution VR display in a consumer headset this year."
